About Us

The Illinois cluster has leadership in Chicago, Peoria, and Springfield. We connect in person and remotely via video for our gatherings so that reproductive health allies from outside Chicago can participate. Some past sessions have included: medication abortion training, updates in reproductive health from national meetings, navigating the abortion landscape in the Midwest, and discussion regarding advocacy efforts surrounding reproductive health and justice in Illinois.

In 2019, Cluster members were proud to advocate for the Reproductive Health Act which passed through Illinois legislature and got signed into law!  This bill protects access to comprehensive reproductive care (including abortion) throughout our state. The cluster also works closely with Illinois Academy of Family Physician leaders to identify important advocacy opportunities, compose reproductive health-related resolutions, and provide educational programming for medical students, residents, and practicing physicians.
