Your privacy concerns are important to the Reproductive Health Access Project, Inc., sometimes referred to in this Privacy Policy as “The Reproductive Health Access Project.” This Policy is designed to provide you with the information you need to understand

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

The Reproductive Health Access Project collects information from you when (1) you voluntarily provide such information; and (2) when you use our Services, as further described below.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US

You are not required to provide information that identifies you, including e.g. your name, address, telephone number, etc. We will only collect such information when it is voluntarily provided to us on the website, by email or through some other format.

For example, when you make an online donation to the Reproductive Health Access Project, we collect information including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and payment details including credit card and similar information. We refer to these types of information as “Personally Identifying Information.”

When you email us or sign-up to join our mailing list, we collect Personally Identifying Information such as name and e-mail address.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU USE THE SERVICES

Your use of the Website: We also keep track of certain information about you when you visit and interact with our Services.  We monitor traffic to the Website and to each of the pages of the Website.  We keep track of which online clinical tools, resources or blog you use, where you are generally located, how you reached our Website, including the search terms that you may have used to reach the Website, and how you interact with our Services.

TO MAINTAIN OUR WEBSITE AND RESOURCES

We use information gathered through your use of the Website to optimize our Services.  For example, we may market clinical resources on our “Key Area” pages in order to gather more views to those clinical resources.  We may also use the information to guide our programmatic work, develop appropriate tags for our web content, and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our campaigns.

TO PROCESS A PAYMENT

When you provide information in connection with a purchase or a donation, we use the personal information you  provide in order to complete the transaction, including sharing information with third parties as described, below.

TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOU ABOUT THE SERVICES:

When you provide you contact information to us, we use that information to communicate with you, including for example, sending confirmatory emails for any purchases you may have made, or any donations that you may have made and information regarding the use of your donation, or sending you a copy of the communications distributed on our mailing list.

FOR PUBLICATION (WITHOUT THE USE OF ANY PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION):

We may use any questions, comments or other information submitted by you on this Website, in books, articles, commentaries, research or in other similar ways, but we will not use any Personally Identifying Information in connection thereto.

How we share information we collect

We respect and protect your privacy and will never sell, trade, or rent your Personally Identifying Information.

We only share information with those companies who process donations or purchases (e.g. Network for Good, EveryAction, and Paypal). Any processing of such donations or purchase through those companies are governed by the terms of those companies’ websites.

HOW WE STORE AND SECURE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

INFORMATION STORAGE AND SECURITY

We take commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect Personally Identifying Information and/or security measures required by applicable United States laws, regulations and rules. We are not liable for disclosure of Personally Identifying Information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.

In making your decision whether to provide Personally Identifying Information, you should be aware of the general risks of transmitting information over the Internet. This Website is not encrypted, with the exception of processing of credit card information. In your use of the internet, including copying or downloading of materials from this Website (to the extent permitted), you are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy your requirements for accuracy of data input and output, backing up of data, and protection from “viruses,” “worms,” “trojan horses” or other malicious or damaging computer programs, code or software. While we attempt to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing our files or tampering with our site, we cannot guarantee that these efforts always will be successful.

HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We keep information in our database permanently, unless you request that it is removed.  However, we delete any accounts that have been inactive for more than three years.  We store information relating to donations permanently.

HOW TO CONTROL YOUR INFORMATION

In some cases, you may ask us to stop storing, using or otherwise processing your information.  You can contact us at info@reproductiveaccess.org to make your request.

You may opt-out of receiving promotional email from us, by contacting us at the email address provided above, or by using the unsubscribe link within each email.

OUR POLICY TOWARDS CHILDREN

The Website is not directed to individuals under 16. We urge parents to supervise their children’s use of the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and that information will be deleted.

LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (FOR EEA USERS):

If you are an individual in the European Economic Area (EEA), we collect and process information about you only where we have legal bases for doing so under applicable EU laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).  The legal bases depend on the Services you use and how you use them. OUR DO NOT TRACK POLICY
